Why do I like anime so much?
As a psychologist, I find that a lot of concepts about human nature are incredibly well portrayed and explained in anime, through dialogues, facial expressions, character interactions, and their inner monologues. I have yet to see a movie that depicts these aspects better.
Moreover, I am fascinated by human nature and life, by the dark and bright sides of existence, which, again, are beautifully depicted in anime like Kingdom, Demon Slayer, Black Book, and others.
During a difficult period in my life, an anime managed to reflect my inner world—the feelings I had and the situations I was going through. Since then, I’ve become a fan of anime, wanting to share with others what I discovered (or rediscovered) through them. That’s one of the reasons why I created this platform.
My boyfriend, Răzvan, has been watching anime since he was a kid, and he has a much broader database of shows, so he’ll be writing about many cool anime he’s seen. I’m newer to the genre, but I’m a veteran when it comes to my passion for people, souls, and life.
Because of that, even if you don’t end up watching a particular anime, I want to extract its core essence and share meaningful lessons that you can apply in your own life.
Tomorrow, I’ll be posting about Aang from Avatar (anime). If you haven’t seen it yet, I warmly recommend giving it a chance. It’s truly healing.
